At MaiaSpace, a subsidiary of ArianeGroup, the decision to start with Tuleap stemmed from a clear intention to regain control over the tools used to manage Agile projects. Formerly responsible for the Confluence and Jira scope in France at ArianeGroup, I led this change in order to move away from a model that was too dependent on the policy decisions of an external vendor (Atlassian decided to end support for their On-premise and then Data Center solutions). Tuleap made it possible to establish a structured working framework, aligned with the SAFe model while remaining compatible with Scrum practices. The open-source solution, which can be hosted internally, addressed MaiaSpace’s strategic objective of promoting sovereign, auditable and sustainable alternatives.
